I’m not even going to look at the under card and to be honest we all know that the main event is a one horse race. If you were to do anything, hope for some reason Big Brown runs second and do an ALL / Big Brown exacta or something along those lines. Enjoy the day and the exciting events!

Free horse racing picks for Churchill Downs - May 14, 2008.

Race #9
#2 Mutadda
#1 Unjust
#3 Tenkiller Lake

I’d like to exacta box those three horses and if you wanna throw an extra on your ticket, take the #4 Storm Sight as well. Also, watch for track conditions today and adjust accordingly.

Race #1
Exacta Box: 2-5-6
#5 Russian Hand has never ran worse than a 55 beyer but is the layoff going to be a curse or a favor? Same with the other horse I’m going with, #6 Son of the North. We’ll either nail this one or end up somewhere in the middle.

Free horse racing picks for Calder - May 12, 2008.

Race #2
We’ve got a 1 mile 10,000s Allowance with a short field of 6 but any of them look capable. At first glance it is hard to make an argument against #4 Shucks whose trainer, Gerald M. Procino is off to an impress career as of 2008. This horse seems to love to set the pace and never look back. As of it’s previous ten races Shucks has never run slower than an 58 beyer. Among others to set the pace and finish strong we must look at the #5 All About Heart and the #6 Activator. From my analysis I would set up something along the lines of this: 1-4-6 / 1-4-5-6 / 1-4-5-6-2. You can chop that up however you’d like for exacta and trifecta betting, though. Like I said, just about any horse is capable but if I had to completely eliminate one of them it would be #3 Private Alert who hasn’t finished above 4th in any of it’s previous 10th starts.

Race #5
WPS: #8 Princess Nikki Also, exacta box 8-2-3

Hey guys, I’m going to give you a harness horse today, so hurry up and get on this one because I never play Harness unless I think I’ve got a lock. Don’t you just hate it when people say they have a lock in horse racing? That’s almost a guarantee flop, haha!

Post time is around 6:00pm Eastern, and it’s 12:00pm now, so hopefully you can all get your bets on. We’re not even going to fool around with the gimmicks and exotics, we’re simply going to do a bigggggg WPS on SAVANNA’S LOVE the #3 horse in Hoosier Park’s 1st race. It’s a short field of 7 and morning line has this one at 4-1 but it could work higher (lets hope so).

Good luck and have a wonderful day!

This is quite possibly one of the funniest red carpet interviews at this year’s Kentucky Derby. Heidi and Spencer from MTV’s The Hills were absolutely ripped to shreds by this guy. This guy had plenty of other funny interviews as well. Do a google search if you’re interested in more.

Free horse racing picks for the 2008 Kentucky Derby

You guys may not like to hear it, but I’m just going to put it out there… BET THE CHALK. I don’t care what gate he’s coming out of, Big Brown looks solid even with a minimal three starts. So there it is, #20 Big Brown is our pick. Who knows what he’ll eventually go off at but…. bet a heavy WPS.
