This horse is a double fig compared to the rest of the field. If you don’t know what a double fig is, you should definitely read an Andrew Beyer book sometime.  As he puts it, ‘double figs’ are relatively safe bets although we all know nothing is a sure thing.  Also, I’m sure Cent T Mint will go off as the surefire favorite so it’ll be tough to find value unless you’ve got the rest of the field down to play some exotics.  Best of luck everyone!

The only horses that scare me here are the #9 — #10 and even the #8 who is all over the place.  I know, I know, I sound really confused about this one, huh?  But to be honest, this would be so much easier to sort out (mostly referring to the third place spot) once I was actually at the track and saw what everyone was going off at.  Either way, best of luck and I hope everyone does well!!

In the third place section of this bet, I’m in between switching out the #2 for the #6. I’m really afraid this #6 might pop me somewhere regardless but… that’s horse racing isn’t it?

Why this horse (#2 Garth R.) is being dropped all the way to $17,500 is beyond me. It’s either going to be a blessing or a major flop waiting to happen. Either way, if you’re feeling unsure, just do something cheaper like a $1 Trifecta Part Wheel: 2-7 / 1-4-5 / 2-7 …which costs $6 bucks. I think anyway you go with it, it won’t be too bad. I’ll have to see what kind of odds everyone is getting tomorrow in case I end up being unsure too.  As for now, I’ll probably just stick with this.

I ran all six races for Hollywood in literally five minutes today, haha. Not to mention it was during the drive home from work… so, needless to say, I didn’t have any time whatsoever to put even a minimal effort into picking this. Nonetheless, I’ll post my picks for the fun of it! I wouldn’t be surprised to see this big payoff being won by some syndication or something anyways.
